Hydramet Company History

June 1989
Hydramet Pty Ltd was established in Western Australia.  Premises were located in Belmont with a staff of three - Jim Shaw, Peter Greene and Brenda Parasuraman.


1993
Company relocated to a new purpose built facility in Canning Vale that includes a workshop, warehouse and office complex of approximately 600m2.  The new premises also incorporate a fully equipped chlorine training facility enabling national training accreditation and a valuable addition to our range of products.


April 1996 
The opportunity arose to establish a presence in South Australia and Hydramet (SA) Pty Ltd was born allowing access to the South Australian and Northern Territory Markets.


1998
Hydramet (SA) Pty Ltd relocated to a new purpose built facility in Edwardstown SA that includes a manufacturing, service and extended stores area.  The new premises have enabled the company to engineer and produce a range of packaged systems for the Australian and International markets.


August 2002
Hydramet Australia Pty Ltd established in Melbourne, Victoria.  This office supports the Wallace & Tiernan product range throughout Victoria and Tasmania.


February 2003
Adam Niciejewski graduates Hydramet's apprenticeship programme as an Electrical Mechanic.


June 2004
Hydramet Pty Ltd celebrated it's 15 years anniversary with a function for all employees, suppliers and selected clients at Joondalup Resort, WA.  The function was a huge success and enabled staff from around the country to get to know each other and showcased the spirit of our organisation to suppliers and clients alike.


October 2004

New premises were purchased at 32-34 Sorbonne Crescent securing the present location of the WA service and projects departments.  These premises include approximately 270m² of office space including boardroom and training facilty, workshop of 570m² with 10 tonne overhead crane and drive through access for heavy vehicles.  The building surrounds incorporate a compressor shed and wash-down area and approximately 2800m2 of hardstand area currently utilised for the production of Chlorine Modules.

March 2005
Hydramet's Research & Development and Demonstration Centre was officially completed and open for operation.


September 2005
Hydramet Australia Pty Ltd relocated to a new facility in Laverton North Vic that includes a service and extended stores area.


May 2006
Hydramet was profiled in the book "Western Australia - A Land of Rising Stars", which celebrates Western Australia and tells the stories of some of its more successful enterprises.


May 2007
Rolando Abuzo becomes the second employee to graduate Hydramet's apprenticeship programme as an Electrical Mechanic.

 


July 2007
Due to continued business success, Hydramet (SA) Pty Ltd outgrows its existing facilities. The company completes construction of a new office, factory and stores facility at Deloraine Road in Edwardstown and relocates the business to the new premises. This large, modern facility will accommodate Hydramet staff in supporting the needs of their growing customer numbers and enhances the company's capacity to continue providing customers with a high level of service.


September 2010

Hydramet announces both Jarrad Hart and Christopher Shaw have completed their apprenticeships as A-class electricians. They report to Adam Niciejewski, Hydramet's first apprentice who is now the company's Service Manager

Hydramet's Head Office in WA move to new offices in Jandakot
