As part of an upgrade to the drinking water supply treatment system, Hydramet WA was awarded a contract for the supply of two NF (Nanofiltration) skids.
Nanofiltration is similar to reverse Osmosis, but targets larger ions, mostly Calcium and Magnesium. By reducing the Calcium and magnesium, this reduces the overall hardness of the water, protecting downstream equipment from scaling.
The skids were built at Hydramet's WA facility and included all pumps, valves, pipework, instruments, panels, interconnected electrical, control and communications cabling. Factory acceptance testing is completed prior to delivery to site. Each skid is capable of delivering >700,000 litres per day of low hardness permeate.
