Hydramet won a contract for a chlorination module to replace the existing reuse treatment plant at a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Western Australia. The new treatment plant (Reuse Plant) will treat WWTP pond effluent to 'low exposure risk' quality as defined by the Department of Health Guidelines for the Non-potable Uses of Recycled Water in Western Australia 2011.
This treated wastewater will be reused for irrigation by the client on the adjacent Oval.
A four room chlorination module was manufactured as a complete unit to FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) at Hydramet in Jandakot. This is the first four-roomed module Hydramet has built. It was completed to fulfil a requirement from the client to improve operator safety by having a separate switch room and control room.
